At the end of 2025, Bas, Stef and Jan van Dam take a moment together to look back on the year.

Economic decline

We are still seeing an economic decline in machine sales within the metal sector. For us, this means less machine transport. Fortunately, we can compensate for this with work in the food sector, and through the deployment of our installation team, which is an expansion of our services.

Jan van Dam: “We’re not complaining—we’re proud of each other and of what we’ve achieved. Despite the weaker economy, increasing regulatory pressure and unrest in the world, we keep our standards high.”

This year we were confronted with a high level absence for work.
Jan van Dam: “That creates a difficult time with many concerns. You stand there with your arms in the air, because it happens to you and you feel like you have no control over it.”
Bas van Dam: “At times we had to ask a lot from the employees and from ourselves to get the work done. It wasn’t always easy, but now we can say that we managed it together. That truly deserves appreciation!”

New ERP system and accounting software

Another major challenge this year was switching to a new ERP system and accounting software.
Bas van Dam: “These systems are the foundation of the organisation—everything starts and ends there. After more than three years of preparation, we went live in September for a large part of it. A tense moment!”

During our annual meeting, we showed a compilation of action photos from the past year. When you see one after another how many diverse projects and activities we carried out, it really gives you a sense of pride. From jobs we could complete within two hours to projects that took more than three months. Every transport assignment had its own charm. The work happening behind the scenes to prepare everything is not immediately visible, but it is essential to the final result.

Our new warehouse location in Terneuzen

One of the major projects went through our new warehouse location in Terneuzen.
Jan van Dam: “Thanks to the acquisition, I now have more time to work on the business rather than in the business. Arranging the renovation and setup of the new warehouse location therefore became my project. After a substantial but smooth renovation, the doors opened and many machines are now safely and securely stored there. The amount of activity we already have there this year is truly beyond expectations.”

Stef van Dam: “We also made great investments in 2025. Some very special equipment has been added. Purchasing equipment is always done carefully and in close consultation with the employees. It’s always great to experience the handover moment together—and of course, above all, to see how much enjoyment it brings when used in practice. At the moment, we are building a very special truck. We’ll present it next year!”

Bas van Dam: “We’re taking this positive energy and collaboration with us into the new year with confidence. Together we continue to grow, overcome challenges and achieve great results. In short: here’s to a year full of opportunities and success!”
