This is another great example of We cover it all.

Good Preparation
Installing a machine is one thing. But when that machine consists of eighteen separate components, it requires a different approach. For the installation of a new SafanDarley H-iBrake 320 - 4200 with Robot Cell AC013, every detail was carefully planned in advance.
Before transport began, colleagues from Jan van Dam visited both the SafanDarley production facility in Lochem and the end customer. Based on these visits, a schedule was drawn up in which all eighteen components had to arrive at fixed times and in the correct sequence. This meant it was clear in advance which truck was needed when, and how the assembly would progress over the three days.

The careful preparation immediately paid off during the execution. The eighteen components were divided across five transports and arrived at the customer's site exactly according to schedule. Only because each component was available at the right time could the machine be assembled step by step in accordance with SafanDarley's specifications.
Antoine, Stijn and Jelle handled the transport together. Because the height of the machine and robot made it impossible to transport them using a standard low-loader, one of Jan van Dam's enclosed Euro low-loaders was deployed. Jelle used this specialist trailer for an additional transport.
On site, the machine was then assembled over a period of three days using our 300-ton-metre truck-mounted crane and two experienced operators. Every step followed the schedule seamlessly, allowing the assembly to proceed smoothly and in a controlled manner.
Everything went more or less exactly as planned:
“It ran like clockwork,” says Peter Mooibroek of SafanDarley.
Jan van Dam has been working with SafanDarley since 2009. Every year, approximately eighty machines are installed or packed for export. Over the years, extensive specialist knowledge has been built up regarding the various machine types and the way in which they must be installed and anchored according to SafanDarley's specifications.
That experience makes a difference on the shop floor. Jan van Dam's employees know exactly which component is needed when and how the machine should be assembled. As a result, no additional guidance is required during unloading, installation or anchoring. This gives SafanDarley the assurance that the installation will proceed according to plan and also gives the end customer peace of mind.
They see a controlled installation, while behind the scenes there is detailed preparation and years of experience.
For SafanDarley, it is precisely this knowledge, reliability and solution-oriented approach that are the reasons why the two companies have now been working together since 2009.
That is exactly what We cover it all means in practice.

A complex press brake consisting of eighteen separate components is not something you can simply install. Careful preparation and precise planning make all the difference.
