We are proud of the recent expansion of our fleet. On February 21, the second Volvo Aero was delivered to Oudewater. This time, Gordon is the lucky one to get behind the wheel of this beautiful vehicle.
And before you know it, it’s December again…
Another year has flown by, and we’ve accomplished so much together.
A perfect moment to look back on the past year with the management team.
2024 marks major anniversaries at Jan van Dam. Machine Transport celebrates its 35th anniversary, and Global Machine Logistics its 15th. We certainly did not let these special milestones pass unnoticed. Together with our employees, their partners, and our families, we celebrated this double anniversary in a festive way.
A few years ago, we had the unique opportunity to purchase a commercial building on the industrial estate in Oudewater, which had previously been used as a truck garage. This gave us the idea to relocate and professionalize our workshop and semi-wash facility.
By now, we’re somewhat known for our continuous innovation. Not only in our specialization in machine transport and the training of our employees, but also with the vehicles that transport the machines.
We are excited to announce that our fleet has been expanded with a unique trailer, the first Euro low loader of its kind in the Benelux!
BluePrint Automation has been a loyal partner for many years, and we’re very pleased about that. They produce custom-made packaging systems and deliver them worldwide. That's where we come in, organizing the export, transport, and delivery.
For Jan van Dam Machine Transport based in Oudewater, investing in sustainability is a natural choice. The specialist in logistics challenges has been preparing for today's demands for years. Owner Jan van Dam considers the new Volvo FH Electric a necessity. 'This is the first one, but most likely not the last.'
Jan Van Dam Machine Transport has invested in a new, multi-purpose Volvo truck. The vehicle was delivered in mid-October by Van Dijk Trucks of Woerden, and the cab was supplied by another loyal partner of Jan van Dam: CCH BV of Halsteren. With this latest addition to the fleet, Jan Van Dam Machine Transport can literally go in any direction it chooses.
Over a period of more than five years, Jan van Dam Machine Transport has managed to install no fewer than 150 machines at 247TailorSteel, which manufactures custom-cut metal sheets, tubes and bends. This special milestone was recently celebrated with cakes for 247TailorSteel’s employees.
If you had asked Jan van Dam that fifteen years ago, he would have said yes. But we have since discovered that many things are possible in that area.
At Jan van Dam Machine Transport, the development of a new truck takes time. Time to deliberate, come up with a design, scrap it and start again, weigh things up, come to a conclusion… That process can take as long as a year, but then you end up with something really worthwhile. In this case, a brand new, unique 200-ton metre crane that – characteristic of the company – has been completely developed in-house with the future in mind.
