Kiremko – Creative solution for a 20,000-kilogram drum

Jan van Dam Machine Transport was asked by Kiremko B.V. to exchange a 20,000 kg drum located in the middle of a factory complex.

After many hours of drawing and calculation work, the ideal solution was found for this assignment.

Jan van Dam Machine Transport was asked by Kiremko B.V. to exchange a 20,000 kg drum located in the middle of a factory complex.
Initially the idea was to hire a 1,200-ton telecrane with an 80-metre movable jib. But the men from Van Dam found another way to do it. After many hours of drawing and calculation work, the ideal solution was found for this assignment.

Extreme precision

In order to reach the drum with the crane, the crane truck was set up at its maximum height of 1.6 metres. The lifting work was carried out with extreme precision in order not to damage the surrounding buildings and roof structures. A great assignment that involved craftsmanship from the internal and field crews.
